Hey Chris,
Wow. Any pics? I'm super keen to run it sometime mainly cause of where it is, if the river's good as well that's a bonus. Just awesome to paddle off the plateau into the valley. I have many questions about the run if you're able to answer any that would be great. Did you just walk in to cedar falls and lower down from there? Did you do it when it was flooding? Was it drop pool or pretty continuous? I can probably think of a few more which i'll email if i do!

Gday mate,

I have actually paddled the Rosewood. I know Crrky has written it up, but I belive that myself (and teh crew with me) were the first (only?) ones to have run it.

We put in off Never Never just below the BIG waterfall, and pulled out at the confluence of Rosewood and Bellenger.

Awesome river, the more water the better (sort of). The Ghost Gums were almost as cool as the rapids!

Woah - that's quite a story. Glad you made it out safely and it sounds like you took the right steps at each point to ensure the safety of your team and yourself. Also a really well written account with some fantastic photos to illustrate it. Thanks for sharing!

We're actually on the lookout for for adventurous bloggers to write guest posts for the Ooh.com blog (with a link exchange etc.) and I wondered if you might be interested. Let me know by emailing ed[at]ooh.com!

Thanks again - this was a great read.

There were a few smaller rapids that are paddleable. The waterfall in the 4th and 5th pics is also a nice clean drop. Everything else had rocks in bad places. With more water a river board would be fun in some places. The section below where we got out is the section i'm interested in to paddle.
