Wrong foot first
Jeroen | June 2, 2011When the board is lying parallel to the shore and you need to step on or off, use the non-intuitive foot first. That is, the foot closest to shore is the first to get on and the second to take off. Cross that first-on leg in front of the other to get on. If you use the other foot first, you push the board away from the shore, and you may end up looking very clumsy, and wet… Balancing is also easier this way, as any off-balance will throw you towards the land
