There is one simple possession that almost every kayaker owns, one which the intrepid boater will take with them wherever they go. A companion that is always by your side and one which will never let you down. An unadorned, plastic container, comprising of a swiveling lid with two throw latches and a handle. A box, if I may. Simplistic? Yes. At first it seems insignificant and unimportant but on closer examination this is proved to be untrue. Within this enclosure, memories, forever lasting, captured onto the device of choice. The modern world of digital offers various forms to relive the moments that, as a kayaker, only we can fully appreciate and understand. Whether it be an old thirty five millimeter or the latest SLR, those memories can be cherished forever and are contained within a small plastic world sealed only from the outside watery world with a thin, rubber gasket.

Pelican™ Products have been around since 1976 and have been the faithful companion of many an outdoorsman ever since. We as kayakers use mostly their waterproof cases and with 52 sizes there is a size and shape to fit your needs. But this short article is only meant to share a few photos with you of the travels that one of my cases has done with me in a short space of time and not as an advertisement for Pelican. Enjoy it, paddle safe, have fun and keep your camera dry!
